Cloth Diaper Bank

House of Friendship is a non-profit human service agency that operates 15 different programs for people in low-income situations. The Emergency Food Hamper Program assists people with emergency food hampers, it is the largest distributor of emergency food in the Kitchener/Waterloo area, serving close to 18,000 different people annually. Last year the program set up a Cloth Diaper Bank. This project loans families a set of cloth diapers and/or cloth training pants free of charge. It works like a library a family signs out a set of diapers, launders them and returns them when finished. So far the program has been quite successful. This program has been made possible by donations and volunteer time. Currently we are looking for more cloth diapers to help meet the demand of our program.
