Natural Healing: The Effectiveness of Herbal Remedies

Do herbal remedies really work. Some people say they tried it without effect. So, they will criticize a very good and effective method based on that one experience.

If however, you talk to a large enough group of people who have tried various prescription medications for a specific ailment, you'll also find the exact same thing. One or more people will go on about how the medication is worthless and didn't do a thing for them.

You see, every person's body is different. And even when people are diagnosed with the same disease, that diagnoses is more of a general label or category than

anything else. Everyone's body reacts differently to different things, and everyone's health problems, symptoms, and diseases also produce different results too. Because of this, the exact same medications will produce different results for different people. And the exact same herbal remedies will too.

Not only does everyone's body respond differently to various things, but sometimes people try to diagnose themselves - and they get it wrong - while other times doctors will select a diagnosis that isn't quite right either. So when you try to treat a specific problem or condition the wrong way, you're not likely to get much, if any, decent results from the treatment.

There are also diseases and conditions which have varying levels, or slight differences. When someone has kidney stones for instance, they could have one of at least four different kinds of stones. And those stones can be located in a number of places throughout the urinary tract system too.

In about 80% of kidney stone cases, one specific herbal or alternative treatment works wonderfully for pretty much everyone. This is because about 80% of kidney stones are one type of stone. If you happen to be one of the minority percentage of people who have a different kind of kidney stone though, the standard herbal remedy may seem to do nothing at all for you.

Another major difference with herbal, home, and alternative remedy treatments versus modern medicine is the experience. When your doctor treats you for something, there is usually no doubt left in your mind that you've been treated. You've gone to the doctor, been prodded and poked, and in many cases you've even been sliced open and had some sort of surgical procedure done.

With herbal, home and alternative treatments however, the process is slower and much more natural. There is no "defining moment" of treatment, cure, or resolution. Using the example above: When you take care of kidney stones with herbal treatments, you often don't even feel the stones pass out of your system. This is because they're broken up and dissolved inside your body first, and this is why one of the first results of treatment is pain relief too.
