Heart Disease Prevention

Everything in the body is closely connected. This explains why the management of heart disease and reducing the risks of heart disease is like many other diseases. We are talking about heart disease prevention and how you can do that effectively.

Being overweight can cause many repercussions in your body. Many people don't

realize that weight is more serious than having to buy new clothes though. Excess body weight and obesity are found to be the root cause of whole list of health problems, including heart disease, heart attacks, diabetes, joint pain and problems, breathing problems, increased risks of infections and more.

Some of the natural ways to manage and reduce the risks of heart disease include giving up smoking; losing weight; exercising more; changing your eating habits; and balancing your blood sugar levels. There are actually just two primary steps in this list though, which will help solve the rest of the problems.

If your blood sugar levels are too high or unstable for instance, you can help balance them out by losing weight and getting some exercise. To lose weight, you simply change your eating habits and exercise. Stopping the cigarette habit is usually much easier to do when you start exercising too.

Exercise plays a major role in helping to prevent or reduce the affects of heart disease though. When you exercise, your body starts pumping blood faster. This faster movement is designed to help get more oxygen to the various areas of your body which need it during your increased activity. The extra blood pumping however, acts as a circulatory flush within your body. Plaque particals can't settle in and start building a blockage if your blood is moving faster regularly, because the increased circulation of your blood starts eroding the build up, much like water does when it rushes over rocks regularly.

Exercise will also help you lose weight, and one of the primary risk factors of developing heart disease is obesity. Changing how you eat can also help you lose weight though, and it has the added effect of helping to stop the speed at which plaque may be building up in your body.

Since plaque build up has been found to be created by the intake of simple sugars and starches, you can slow down and possible even regress that build up by simply removing or drastically reducing your intake of these types of foods. The added and more immediate benefit you'll see from this dietary change will also be faster weight loss.

Once you've started addressing your heart disease problems by changing your lifestyle, activity levels, and eating habits, you may then want to increase your body's healing process by adding herbal supplements to your daily routine. There are many herbs which can help improve the circulatory system, veins, arteries and heart, plus there are some which help to remove plaque build up as well.

Using just herbs to treat your heart disease condition may not work as well as you'd like though, because if you're still eating foods which contribute to the problem for instance, or you're not getting your blood pumping regularly to help clear out build ups and deposits, then you're not truly addressing the entire problem with your heart health.

Cayenne is an excellent herb for improving the health of your entire circulatory system. Cayenne helps feed and improve the cell structure of veins, arteries and capillaries so they'll start to regain their normal elasticity. This herb also regulates the blood pressure, and makes the heart beat stronger immediately. The pulse does not get faster though, just stronger.

Garlic is another wonderful herb which regulates the blood pressure and helps strengthen the blood vessels. Garlic also has soft oils that help loosen plaque from arterial walls. Garlic also contains selenium, which helps against hardening of the arteries.

Hawthorne is known as the heart herb, because it strengthens and regulates the heart. This herb has been used to treat weakened heart muscles, malfunctioning heart valves, heart enlargement, and heart fibrillations. It relaxes the blood vessels too, which lowers your blood pressure. This herb can be combined with garlic and cayenne to make a powerful heart remedy and health solution.

Valerian root is an excellent and powerful herb which helps calm and soothe. It's fantastic for use against stress and nerves, and it's great for the circulatory system too. Valerian root will regulate heart palpitations too though. It slows the action of the heart while strengthening it at the same time.

Another herb which helps calm heart palpitations is Lobelia. This herb will also help clear congestion throughout the body, including in the blood vessels. Lobelia is a very powerful relaxing herb too. You can rub it onto the shoulders of someone who can't sleep for instance, to help calm, soothe and relax them. Lobelia can also be taken by mouth.

Taking large amounts of Lobelia will cause you to throw up however, and it's sometimes used this way on purpose to clear the stomach. In rare cases, Lobelia will make you very relaxed and sleepy too, and this isn't harmful but it can be counteracted by taking it with Cayenne.
